EPA Market Update (7/11/09): fresh eggs, cut flowers and white peaches

Este email viene en español al fin del mensaje.

Hellooooo!

Your East Palo Alto Community Farmers' Market is pleased to announce some exciting new additions! Have you been waiting patiently for the arrival of fresh cut flowers, at affordable prices? Well it's your lucky day. We were joined last week by Contreras Farms of Montara, which brought the most colorful and unique flowers to the market. Click here for pictures. They're scheduled to return this Saturday.

And the good news just keeps on coming: the same wonderful flower vendor also has a whole flock (brood?) of chickens over there on the coast. Their eggs are organic, fresh and delicious. Last week he even had quail eggs! Be sure to come early before they sell out.

Join us this Saturday from 2pm to 5pm, as always. We'll have all sorts of fresh fruits and vegetables (plus our new flowers and eggs) to brighten up your mid-summer weekend:

* fresh cut flowers from Montara (pictures here);
* tomatoes! (they're getting juicier and juicier);
* freshly-made hummos and other Mediterranean snacks (made right in Belmont, and perfect for appetizers);
* sweet peaches, nectarines, plums apricots, and pluots (white peaches are here!);
* strawberries (from Salinas);
* organic vegetables from Watsonville;
* rich and delicious summer squash (green and yellow, both very good);
* chayote, basil, cilantro, cucumbers, broccoli, mint, onions, greens, and other vegetables; and
* much more!

EBT/food stamps, WIC and Senior FMNP checks always accepted.
* EBT: the market accepts EBT/food stamps every Saturday.
* WIC: we're happy to accept WIC FMNP market coupons.
* EPA Fresh Checks: if eligible, we'll give you $5 to spend at the Market. For more information, click here.

Hooooola!

* flores frescas de Montara (fotos);
* huevos frescos y orgánicos;
* pimientas;
* tomates;
* duraznos, nectarinas, ciruelas;
* fresas;
* vegetales latinos y orgánicos ; y
* mucho más!
