Family friendly activities have finally arrived at our market! Yes, we've always had fresh fruits and vegetables, but this weekend, we've got plans to bring out the bicycle blender to make delicious fruit smoothies, starting at 2pm. Be sure to come and check it out.
We're working hard to bring a wider variety of fresh vegetables, at affordable prices, and are happy to announce that we are scheduled to be joined by a second organic vegetable grower from Watsonville. They'll be bringing additional varieties of delicious, and freshly picked (the same morning!) vegetables to our market.
Join us this Saturday from 2pm to 5pm, as always. We expect to have all sorts of fresh fruits and vegetables (including new organic ones) to add some spice to your mid-summer weekend:
* new organic veggies, including broccolini, ejotes, carrots (big), lettuce, peppers (serrano and bell), yellow beets, cabbage (yum, yum, yum and yum);
* fresh cut flowers from Montara (pictures here);
* tomatoes! (they're getting juicier and juicier);
* freshly-made hummos and other Mediterranean snacks (made right in Belmont, and perfect for appetizers and healthy snacks);
* sweet white peaches, nectarines, plums and pluots (if you haven't tried them, check out the white peaches);
* strawberries (from Salinas);
* rich and delicious summer squash (green and yellow, both very good);
* chayote, basil, cilantro, cucumbers, broccoli, mint, onions, greens, and other vegetables; and
* much more!
EBT/food stamps, WIC and Senior FMNP checks always accepted.
* EBT: the market accepts EBT/food stamps every Saturday.
* WIC: we're happy to accept WIC FMNP market coupons.
