Music at the market

Saturday, October 10, 2009

Boy, do we have a special treat for you. This Saturday, we'll be joined by the musical talent of Season of Us, an extra pleasant duo that plays relaxing and engaging rythyms that are sure to infect our Market. With H1N1? Nope. With infectuous grooves. Check them out this Saturday starting at 2pm.

And let us remind you that the EPA Community Farmers' Market is a place of intense value. Don't believe us? Check out what $5 can buy. Also, this past Saturday, we did a little price comparison between our Market and the local Safeway. Are we always cheaper? No, but we are always delicious. Check out the comparison here.

This Saturday, we expect to have:

  • organic veggies, including broccolini, watercress, heirloom carrots (big and purple!), and lettuce;
  • okra (come early for the best selection);
  • purslane and bitter melon (the health benefits are beyond description);
  • more greens than you can shake a fist at;
  • organic yellow corn (the delicious kind);
  • tomatoes! (they're still delicious);
  • freshly-made hummos and other Mediterranean snacks (made right in Belmont, and perfect for appetizers);
  • strawberries (from Salinas);
  • delicious apples;
  • yummy honey;
  • nopales, chayote, basil, cilantro, cucumbers, broccoli, mint, onions, greens, and other vegetables; and
  • much more!
