Highlighting our local vendors

This week, we want to introduce you to two of our local vendors. Reverend Hartley is a friendly guy who is all about his garden and his community.. Read this new article on our first neighborhood producer here. Also, starting this Saturday, you'll be able to buy a variety of hand-made soap products from our new vendor, Soothing Soap-Sations. The company was started as part of Build, and EPA non-profit that helps youth start their own businesses while improving in school.

This Saturday, we expect to have:

• taro root and leaves (have you tried them yet?);
• fresh peanuts (you roast them how you like them);
• tasty sugarcane (yum yum yum);
• organic veggies, including broccolini, watercress, carrots, and lettuce;
• okra (come early for the best selection);
• purslane and bitter melon (the health benefits are beyond description);
• more greens than you can shake a fist at;
• organic yellow corn (the delicious kind);
  
• tomatoes (they're still delicious);
• freshly-made hummos and other Mediterranean snacks (made right in Belmont, and perfect for appetizers);
• strawberries (from Salinas);
• delicious apples;
• yummy honey;
• nopales, chayote, basil, cilantro, cucumbers, broccoli, mint, onions, greens, and other vegetables; and
• much more!

EBT/food stamps, WIC FMNP and senior FMNP checks are now accepted at the Market. Customers using these forms of payment are entitled to be treated with the very same respect and dignity that all shoppers at the East Palo Alto Community Farmers' Market deserve. For more info, please click here.
